About Isabel!

Isabel Tiburcio is a filmmaker, writer, and actress from New York, currently studying Film and Political Science at Yale University. Her work spans narrative, documentary, and unscripted formats, often focusing on identity, power, and who gets to tell which stories. She’s currently co-writing Lux et Veritas, a feature in pre-production, and interning on a true crime documentary with Edgeline Films and Hulu. This past summer, she studied filmmaking at FAMU in Prague.

Isabel has worked with Red Wagon Entertainment, JPMorgan, American High, the International Emmys, and the Queens World Film Festival, gaining experience in development, marketing, event production, and coverage. On campus, this fall, she will serve as Lead Photographer and Videographer for Yale’s Division I Men’s Soccer Team, Director of Photography and Co-Editor for the annual YSO Halloween Show, and continue performing with Just Add Water, Yale’s touring musical improv group.

She’s represented by Rebel Creative Group and Take 3 Talent. Isabel is also the founder of The Gaia Zine, a youth-led creative platform with contributors in over 20 countries that offers resources, publishing opportunities, and an international film festival supported by organizations including Taco Bell, Ashoka Changemakers, and Prudential. Her experience also includes work in the U.S. Senate and ongoing civic engagement as a congressional intern.
